Telefónica and Nova Labs launch Helium Mobile Hotspots in Mexico

Telefónica is partnering with Nova Labs to extend mobile coverage in Mexico City and Oaxaca using Helium Mobile Hotspots. The technology, based on the OpenWifi standard, allows select Movistar customers access to the Helium Mobile Network using their existing SIM cards. The solution is expected to reduce infrastructure costs and environmental impact while maintaining high-quality service and expanding coverage.
