Since the emergence of Ordinals, Bitcoin transaction volume has hit all-time highs multiple times, with the majority of transactions sending less than $1 worth of Bitcoin to cover fees. Overall, Ordinals have pushed Bitcoin fees close to all-time highs, and Runes may continue to increase Bitcoin transaction fees.
