Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya announced a large-scale operation against cryptocurrency fraud throughout the country. In an operation called "Sibergöz-42", action was taken against cryptocurrency fraudsters operating in Ankara and 21 provinces. According to the investigation, this operation resulted in a loss of 1 billion lira and the arrest of 127 suspects.



Minister Yerlikaya made a statement about the operation on his social media account. He said that the operation carried out in Ankara is related to crimes such as "qualified fraud", "establishing an organization for criminal purposes", and "laundering the value of assets obtained from crimes". Within the scope of the operation, steps have been taken in 21 provinces including Antalya, Istanbul, Izmir, Eskisehir, Usak, Aydin, Mula, Kutahya, Corum, Balikesir, Denizli, Adana, Bursa, Malatya, Tekirdag, Isparta, Karabuk, Konya, Sirnak, and Samsun.

Minister Yerlikaya also pointed out that assets worth 1, lira, including 177 real estates and 61 movable properties, were confiscated during the operation.
