Grayscale and Bitwise have jointly submitted a proposed rule change to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) through the New York Stock Exchange, suggesting to allow trading of options for Bitwise Ethereum ETF, Grayscale Ethereum Trust, and Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust.
The document states that these options will provide investors with an additional, relatively low-cost investment vehicles, while serving as hedging tools to meet investors' investment needs for Ethereum products and positions.
The public comment period for the proposal will expire in 21 days. Several companies are also seeking approval for SpotBTC ETF Options trading, but have not yet been approved.
