DOGE
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), is a presidential committee established by US President Donald Trump in his second term.
On November 12, 2024, Trump announced that the Department of Government Efficiency will be led by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy. Trump also stated that the Department's work will be completed no later than July 4, 2026, which will coincide with the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.
The abbreviation of the department's name is derived from the internet meme Dogecoin.
In December, Musk retweeted the recruitment announcement of the newly created @DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) account on his X account, and wrote, "It has begun, we don't need people who only provide partial ideas, we need 'small government' revolutionaries with extremely high intelligence (super high IQ) who are willing to work more than 80 hours a week."
Happy New Year
