#GAT CME FedWatch: 2.1% probability of a 25 basis point rate cut in January



BlockBeats news, on January 26th, according to CME's "Fed Watch" data, there are 3 days left until the next FOMC meeting. The probability of a 25 basis point rate cut by the Fed in January is only 2.1%, while the probability of keeping interest rates unchanged is as high as 97.9%.

Looking ahead to the March meeting, the probability distribution of rate cuts is as follows:

• Probability of cumulative interest rate cut of 50 basis points: 0.6%
• Probability of cumulative interest rate cut of 25 basis points: 27.0%
• Probability of maintaining interest rates unchanged: 72.4%

Data shows that the market generally expects the Federal Reserve to maintain the current interest rate levels in the near future.
