US recession risk hits six-month high as investors worry about tariffs, Trump's economic policies - CNBC

📊 The probability of a US recession has risen to 36%, the highest in six months, from 23% in January, according to the latest CNBC Fed survey.

❗️ Investors and analysts are worried about tariffs, slowing GDP growth and political instability.

📉 Financial experts have reduced their forecast for US GDP in 2025 from 2.4% to 1.7%, pointing to a decline in consumer spending, stagnation in the housing market and a reduction in government financing.

⚡️ Most analysts expect the Fed to cut interest rates at least twice in 2025 to support the economy. However, 19% of respondents are confident that the regulator will leave rates unchanged even if growth slows.
