Early yesterday morning at 1 AM, I made a careless move and checked out a blogger's strategy.
I shorted at 2130-2160, and by 8 AM when I woke up, it was already at 2240, with over 100 points of loss.
I wasn't fully awake at 8 and wasn't thinking clearly, so I increased my position size, trying to average down on the pullback.
Suddenly, it surged sharply to 2270. After hitting my stop-loss, I started opening positions wildly.
I originally only lost about $400 by not trading, but since I was already groggy and then lost more, I ended up losing over $1,000 from reckless trading.
