Objective
This guide will walk you through how to bind or unbind your phone number on Gate Web.
Steps
Step 1: Navigate to Security Settings
Log in to your Gate account. Click your avatar in the top right corner, go to "Security", and under Basic, click "Turn On" next to SMS Verification.


Step 2: Complete Phone Number Binding
On the binding page, enter your phone number and click "Send Code" to receive the SMS verification code. Then enter your email or Google Authenticator code. Once verified, click "Confirm" to complete the binding.

Step 3: Unbind Your Phone Number (If You Can Receive Verification Codes)
If you need to unbind your current phone number and can still receive SMS codes, go to your Avatar - "Security" - "Basic" - "SMS Verification" - "Unbind".

Fill in the required information and click "Confirm" to finish unbinding.

Step 4: Request Unbinding (If You Cannot Receive Verification Codes)
If your current phone number is no longer active and you cannot receive SMS codes, submit an unbinding request through one of these methods:

Use the Security Form to submit an unbinding request. Fill in the required information as prompted. Your request will be reviewed within 1–3 business days.

Submit a support ticket or email support@gate.com with:
- Your Gate username and user ID
- Your registered email, full name, and city of registration
- Your recently traded crypto assets
- A photo of you holding your ID, along with a handwritten note that includes your Gate account details, date, a statement explaining your request (e.g., "Request to unbind phone number"), and your bound phone number

- After unbinding, you can bind a new phone number by following Steps 1-2.
- If you cannot receive SMS codes, the unbinding review process takes 1–3 business days.
- Gate may update product features, interfaces, and security procedures at any time.
