Important Notice on Our Services for EEA Clients

Further to our earlier announcement of 12 March 2025 regarding changes to our services for EU/EEA clients, we would like to provide an update on the next stage of this transition.

As part of Gate's ongoing efforts to align its operations with the regulatory framework applicable in the European Economic Area (EEA), including the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), Gate’s authorised European platform has been established and is operational in respect of in-scope services, and we are proceeding with the migration of in-scope EEA users to it.

Our European entity, Gate Technology Ltd, is authorised as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Act by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA). This authorisation covers the exchange of crypto-assets, execution of orders, operation of a trading platform, as well as custody, administration, and transfer of crypto-assets on behalf of clients. Gate Technology Ltd is also authorised under applicable Maltese financial services legislation to provide certain payment services.

As a MiCA-authorised CASP, Gate Technology Ltd is subject to applicable regulatory requirements, including client asset safeguarding and segregation obligations.

Gate Technology Ltd’s authorisations have been passported across the following EEA member states under the MiCA passporting framework: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden.

In line with the MiCA framework, in-scope services for EEA residents will be progressively transitioned to the Gate Technology Ltd’s platform. We are managing this process in a structured manner to ensure users have clarity and sufficient time at each stage. Affected users will receive further detailed communications in due course regarding specific service changes and account arrangements.

We encourage EEA users to complete their migration to the Gate Technology Ltd platform at their earliest convenience to ensure continued access to services under the appropriate European regulatory framework. For assistance, please contact our support team.
