Gate News message, April 21 — Russia is technically prepared to resume oil shipments to Hungary through the Friendship Pipeline, according to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov on April 21. However, he noted that resuming transit operations depends on actions taken by Kyiv.
Peskov stated that the pipeline's oil flow was halted due to what Russia characterizes as extortion by the Ukrainian government. The Friendship Pipeline, a major crude oil transport route linking Russia to Central Europe, has been a point of contention amid ongoing tensions between Moscow and Kyiv.
