67 Bloomberg-Surveyed Economists Missed June CPI Forecast, Says White House Economic Adviser

According to Kevin Hassett, chair of the White House Council of Economic Advisers, 67 economists surveyed by Bloomberg incorrectly predicted the June CPI report yesterday (July 14). The June CPI fell 0.4% month-over-month, marking the largest monthly decline in six years, attributable to cost-reduction measures undertaken by the Trump administration.
