Alipay Launches AI Payment Suite for Agent Economy

On May 26, Alipay held its AI Payment Ecosystem Conference and announced a suite of AI-native payment products, including the globally first Token Pay service and AI Wallet, alongside previously launched AI Pay and AI Receive offerings. CEO Han Xinyi stated that Ant Group has built a comprehensive AI payment service architecture adapted to agent commerce. Han described Alipay's role: "Alipay is to be the connector and enabler in the Agent era." The shift to an agent-driven economy changes the execution model—payments are now processed by AI agents rather than individuals, with service continuity guaranteed by computational scheduling and support for frictionless transactions. This evolution enables micro-payments across fragmented service scenarios, activating long-tail economics and reducing payment costs. Payment itself evolves into a value-distribution hub, facilitating the flow and conversion of multi-dimensional digital assets.

AI Wallet Features

Users can access the AI Wallet by searching "AI Wallet" on Alipay starting immediately. The AI Wallet allows users to manage "agent tasks" in real-time before and during payment, and provides post-payment bill inquiry functionality, delivering full visibility across the intelligent consumption lifecycle.

Token Pay Solution

Alipay introduced Token Pay, a comprehensive token payment solution designed for large language model companies. Token Pay addresses global user subscriptions, in-app one-click token recharge, and multi-channel top-up options to ensure stable and orderly agent task execution.

Strategic Partnerships

On May 26, MiniMax and Jiebu Xingchen (Jiebu Xingchen) announced deep cooperation with Alipay. Both companies will integrate Alipay's customized AI payment full-stack solutions across their AI-native products, covering token recharge, membership subscriptions, and marketing scenarios.

Supported Frameworks and Devices

Alipay stated that its AI Payment service currently supports 95% of common agent frameworks. Supported systems include: general-purpose agents such as Qianwen, JVS Claw, Claude Code, and Hermes Agent; smart devices including Qianwen AI glasses, Rokid, and future smart earbuds; automotive platforms such as Li Auto, Chery, Geely, and Dongfeng smart cabins; and leading AI tool platforms including TRAE SOLO, Coder, and Bouzi.
