Alpaca Raises $135M, Flex Secures $70M as Crypto Infrastructure Funding Accelerates

According to Gate Ventures' latest weekly report, the crypto infrastructure sector attracted significant investment last week. Alpaca completed a $135 million funding round to expand its tokenized securities and AI finance infrastructure, while Flex raised $70 million to broaden its stablecoin cross-border payment network. The week also saw accelerating regulatory adoption: Japan's convenience store chain Lawson partnered with Netstars on stablecoin payment trials, and South Korea outlined plans to incorporate digital assets into its national asset management framework, including government bond and state asset tokenization. Europe's MiCA regulatory transition brought the total number of licensed institutions to 294.
