At Advancing AI 2026, AMD unveiled its Zen 6 architecture Venice CPU, which outperformed Nvidia Vera in SPEC testing by approximately 20%, exceeding prior conservative estimates of 10%. The testing was conducted using Nvidia's whitepaper configuration. Venice achieved 2.2 times higher throughput and 1.2 times faster single-core performance compared to Vera, and the processor remains unoptimized. This marks AMD's first direct performance comparison with Nvidia in AI-dedicated processors.
