Apple Foldable iPhone Expected to Ship 5–10M Units in Q3 2026, Says Analyst Kuo

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of Tianfeng Securities, on July 5, Apple's first foldable iPhone is expected to ship between 5 and 10 million units in Q3 2026, with total H2 shipments projected at 70–80 million units. The low Q3 output mirrors the launch pattern of iPhone X in 2017, when Apple revealed the device in September but delayed sales to October. Kuo notes the foldable model faces production challenges with titanium hinges and ultra-thin flexible displays, which may limit initial capacity. The device is estimated to cost between $2,300 and $2,500.
