Audio-Visual Hotel Rooms Surge 53% During World Cup Quarterfinals on July 9-10

According to Tongcheng Travel platform data, audio-visual hotel room bookings surged 53% during the 2026 FIFA World Cup quarterfinals (July 9-10) compared to the opening match period (June 11-12).

Group bookings for social room types, including double-bed rooms and family suites, accounted for nearly 50% of audio-visual room reservations, up about 8 percentage points from the tournament's opening weekend. Among these, mid-sized party venues accommodating 6-10 guests were most in demand, with 60% of bookings on July 9 locked in within 24 hours.
