Bank of America has appointed Sonali Theisen as head of its global digital assets platform and Kevin Milsom as head of AI transformation, formalizing leadership in two areas moving from experimental projects into core market infrastructure.
Theisen will oversee design, development, scaling, and governance of the bank's digital assets platform while continuing to lead electronic trading in fixed income, currencies, and commodities. Alongside Adam Dixon, the bank's digital asset transformation chief, she will focus on tokenized deposits, stablecoins, digital collateral mobility, cryptocurrency trading settlement, and custody integration with existing markets infrastructure. Milsom will lead AI implementation across global markets platforms, including pricing, execution, risk monitoring, and post-trade processing. The appointments reflect a broader trend among major financial institutions—including Morgan Stanley and Vanguard—treating digital assets and AI as core strategic areas requiring dedicated senior executive leadership.
