According to Galaxy Research, Bitcoin may not reach its current cycle bottom, with on-chain and market data pointing to a base-case floor between $40,000 and $46,000 by late 2026. The firm found that only four of 13 historical bottom indicators have been triggered during the current drawdown, which stands at 51% from Bitcoin's October 2025 peak. Traders on Polymarket are assigning a 32% probability to Bitcoin falling to $40,000 in 2026, slightly above the 30% odds of reaching $90,000, while a drop to $45,000 carries a 40% probability. Galaxy noted that the current cycle bottom may form around 12 to 13 months after the peak, placing the timing window closer to late 2026.
