Bitcoin Whale Moves $188 Million in BTC After 7 Years of Dormancy

BTC-1.17%
According to Onchain Lens citing Arkham data, a Bitcoin whale moved 2,931 BTC worth approximately $188 million to a new address on Sunday, ending roughly seven years and nine months of inactivity. The wallet "356my...BAsmK" transferred the funds to an unmarked address "bc1qn...8gp25" at around 3:41 p.m. ET, with the recipient address showing no further movement since the transfer. The dormant address last moved Bitcoin on October 23, 2018, when BTC traded near $6,475, meaning the holdings have appreciated nearly tenfold in value. While the motivation remains unclear, such whale movements frequently precede asset liquidations and profit-taking.
