Broadcom's Tomahawk 6 Switching Chips Sell Out as AI XPU Demand Accelerates

According to JPMorgan Chase's management meeting notes from July 7, Broadcom's Tomahawk 6 switching chips have sold out amid accelerating demand for custom AI accelerators. The firm noted that adoption of XPUs among leading model builders is driving inference workloads, with the XPU-to-GPU shipment ratio expected to reach 50:50 next year. JPMorgan maintained an overweight rating on Broadcom, citing its position as the world's second-largest AI semiconductor supplier and leading ASIC and network semiconductor provider.
