Citadel Drops $6M Lawsuit Against Portofino, Shifts to UK Bankruptcy Claims on Wednesday

According to CoinDesk, Citadel Securities dropped its U.S. trade secret lawsuit against crypto market maker Portofino Technologies on Wednesday, pivoting instead to pursue a near 6 million pound arbitration award through UK bankruptcy proceedings. Citadel filed joint dismissal documents with Portofino in New York court, stating that continuing the U.S. case lacked economic merit since an earlier London arbitration victory remained difficult to enforce. The company emphasized the withdrawal reflected strategic reorientation rather than weakness in its claims, citing success in separate London arbitration proceedings.
