According to CoinDesk, Citrini Research has listed Hyperliquid and its HYPE token as an attractive investment target, citing the platform's cash flow generation and buyback mechanism. Over 90% of platform fees are directed to buybacks, resulting in more than $2 billion in cumulative HYPE token buybacks since January 2025, representing nearly half of all crypto industry token buyback activity last year, the report states. Citrini Research noted that HYPE's investment thesis is increasingly tied to the exchange's business performance, distinguishing Hyperliquid among competitors as U.S. regulators opened the door to crypto perpetual futures.
