According to Coinone, the exchange's User Protection Department received a commendation from South Korea's National Police Commissioner on June 8 for preventing phishing crimes and protecting digital asset users. The award was presented at a Memorandum of Understanding ceremony held on June 4 between the National Police Agency and five major domestic crypto exchanges. Over 50 days since the launch of the police's voice phishing response unit, Coinone's department protected 68 million KRW in customer assets from criminal attempts. In March, the department prevented a 38 million KRW withdrawal by proactively identifying at-risk users based on police alerts and promptly notifying authorities.
