Ethereum Developers Set Glamsterdam Upgrade Goals, Plan to Increase Gas Capacity to 200M

According to the Ethereum Foundation, more than 100 core developers gathered in late April 2026 to establish technical goals for the Glamsterdam upgrade. The most notable objective is to increase the minimum gas capacity to 200 million, significantly expanding transaction capacity on the network. Developers also made progress on the ePBS architecture and EIP-8037 gas repricing parameter, while successfully establishing a stable devnet and resolving client compatibility issues.
