Federal Judge Orders Long-Term Ban on U.S. DOJ Weaponization Fund, Demands Written Confirmation

A federal judge in Virginia issued a longer-term injunction barring the U.S. Department of Justice from establishing a so-called 'Weaponization Fund,' requiring the DOJ and Treasury Department to provide written confirmation that the initiative has been permanently shelved. Judge Leonie Brinkema stated she needs assurance from both agencies. Acting Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche previously testified before Congress that the Justice Department has no intention of reviving the fund.
