Hong Kong to Launch First Five-Year Plan Public Consultation on June 15, Focusing on AI+ and Finance+

According to Hong Kong's Financial Secretary Chen Maobo, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government will launch a public consultation on the city's first five-year plan on June 15, with a two-month consultation period. The plan aims to enhance economic momentum, advance technology application, and promote more inclusive society with better employment opportunities. Chen highlighted "AI+" and "Finance+" as two key strategic directions. AI can strengthen competitiveness across industries and enhance financial data analysis, risk management, and customer service. "Finance+" focuses on leveraging Hong Kong's comprehensive financing capabilities, including building a patient capital system to support emerging technology enterprises.
