Hut 8 Leases Texas AI Data Center for At Least $9.8 Billion Over 15 Years

According to Hut 8 Corp., the cryptocurrency miner signed a lease worth at least $9.8 billion on Wednesday to provide AI computing power over 15 years at a campus in Nueces County, Texas. The agreement could reach $25.1 billion if the tenant exercises all three five-year extensions, the company said in a statement. The tenant’s identity was not disclosed.
