India's Central Bank Denies $12 Billion Gold Reserve Sales, Confirms 880.52 Tonnes Holdings Unchanged

According to the Reserve Bank of India on Wednesday, the central bank firmly denied media reports claiming it sold gold reserves worth approximately $12 billion in the two weeks through May 22. The RBI stated its physical gold stocks remain unchanged at 880.52 tonnes. India's Press Information Bureau also called the reports "fake" and reiterated that the central bank's bullion reserves had not changed.
