Iran Demands 50% of Frozen Assets Unfrozen Immediately in Any US Deal, June 6

According to Iran's state news agency TASNIM, Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said yesterday (June 6) that any memorandum of understanding with the United States must include immediate unfreezing of at least 50% of Iran's frozen financial assets. The remaining funds should be unfrozen within one to two months following the agreement's signing, with technical and financial arrangements to be negotiated during a 60-day implementation period. Gharibabadi stated that Iran will only consider a draft agreement as final if Tehran's interests and concerns are fully addressed.
