Iranian FM Araghchi Meets Pakistani Deputy PM Dar on July 24 to Discuss Regional Issues

On July 24 afternoon, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization foreign ministers' council meeting in Kyrgyzstan. The two officials exchanged views on bilateral relations and regional and international issues.

Araghchi expressed gratitude for Pakistan's mediation efforts in recent months and stated that U.S. "breach of commitment and excessive pressure" are the main causes of the current regional situation. He condemned U.S. attacks on Iran's critical infrastructure and emphasized Iran's commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty and interests.
