Iran's Abbas Port Naval Base Severely Damaged in Military Strikes, Satellite Imagery from March 2 Shows

According to Al Jazeera, Iran's Abbas port naval base, the main homeport of the Iranian Navy, was severely damaged in military strikes, with satellite imagery captured by Planet Labs on March 2 providing evidence of the attacks.

The images showed the Iranian Navy's IRIS Makran vessel suffered a direct hit, with visible flames and heavy smoke rising from the deck. Large-scale fires were also observed near critical infrastructure within the base, indicating extensive damage to the facility.
