According to CNBC and Iranian state media, Iran's Revolutionary Guards launched Operation Nasr-2 against multiple U.S. military targets in the Middle East on July 15, striking facilities in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan. The Iranian military claimed to have destroyed Patriot radars in Bahrain, air control radar systems for the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet, and C-RAM warning systems. U.S. officials stated that American forces responded Tuesday with additional strikes on Iranian military targets to eliminate emerging threats. The U.S. military has approximately 50,000 personnel deployed across the Middle East region.
