KOSDAQ Falls 14.73% in a Month; Inverse ETFs Post Gains Up to 14.88%

According to Korea Exchange, KOSDAQ index fell 14.73% over the past month (June 5–July 7), declining faster than KOSPI's 13.67% drop. Inverse ETFs betting against the index gained as much as 14.88%, with KIWOOM KOSDAQ 150 Futures Inverse among the top performers in South Korea's domestic ETF rankings. In contrast, leveraged products tracking double KOSDAQ gains fell as much as 36.42% over the same period. The exchange announced plans to strengthen market discipline by removing underperforming companies and introducing a tiered segment system to rebuild investor confidence.
