KOSPI Rises to 7034.06 Today as Foreign Investors Buy 2.33 Trillion Won

According to Korea Exchange, KOSPI rose to 7034.06 on July 23, up 236.36 points (3.48%), as semiconductor sentiment recovered following Alphabet's expanded capital expenditure guidance. Foreign investors bought 2.33 trillion won, marking four consecutive days of net purchases.

Alphabet reported Q2 revenue of $119.8 billion and earnings per share of $9.11, both exceeding market consensus. Despite a negative free cash flow of $5.9 billion due to AI infrastructure investments and a 3% after-hours decline, the company raised its full-year capital expenditure guidance from $180–190 billion to $195–205 billion, signaling continued semiconductor demand.
