LG Electronics, Doosan Robotics Stocks Plunge 50%+ One Month After Nvidia CEO Huang's Seoul Visit

According to Seoul Economics, one month after Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang's visit to Seoul on June 8, South Korean AI-related stocks have suffered sharp declines. LG Electronics dropped 53.4% from its June 2 peak of 392,500 Korean won to 182,500 won on July 6, while Doosan Robotics fell 50.5% from 166,700 won to 82,500 won during the same period. Naver and Hyundai Motor also declined roughly 30% and 33% respectively.

The selloff follows a period of rapid gains driven by expectations of Nvidia collaboration announcements during Huang's visit, including LG Electronics' AI data center cooling solutions partnership, Doosan Robotics' next-generation robot development platform, and Naver's joint AI factory project. Profit-taking orders have since flooded the market, reversing the earlier rally.
