Meta Developing Prediction Market App Arena Targeting 100M Monthly Users

According to New York Times on June 26, Meta is developing a prediction market application called Arena that targets users aged 18 to 34. Unlike platforms Polymarket and Kalshi, Arena will not accept real money bets, instead using a point-based system similar to video games.

Meta aims for at least 100 million monthly active predictors on the platform. Arena is currently in internal testing, and while a standalone app launch is not yet confirmed, Meta plans to integrate prediction features into Facebook and Messenger if needed.
