Microsoft Shares Rise 1.5% on Monday as Windows 11 Search Update Rolls Out

Microsoft Corp. shares rose 1.5% on Monday, bucking a broader market selloff linked to U.S.-Iran tensions. On the same day, Microsoft announced a major update to Windows 11's Search Box, prioritizing on-device files and results while removing ads and promotional content. The revamp is rolling out to Windows Insiders in the Experimental Channel. Separately, Microsoft is scheduled to report fiscal fourth-quarter earnings on July 29. Analysts expect revenue to rise 15% to $87.66 billion and adjusted profit to increase 16% to $4.24 per share. The stock gained nearly 5% in July to $390.99 and has declined 17% in the first half of 2026.
