Midjourney Unveils Ultrasonic CT Medical Scanner Aimed at 60-Second Full-Body Scans

Midjourney announced Midjourney Medical, a new healthcare division, on Wednesday (June 18, 2026), unveiling an "Ultrasonic CT" full-body imaging system that combines ultrasound hardware with AI image reconstruction. The company stated the technology could generate detailed three-dimensional body scans in roughly 60 seconds, faster than conventional MRI scans which typically take 30 minutes or longer.

Midjourney plans to deploy approximately 50,000 scanners worldwide over the next six years, aiming to conduct one billion full-body scans monthly. The company intends to introduce the technology through Midjourney Spa, a wellness facility featuring scanning rooms alongside hot tubs and saunas, scheduled to open in San Francisco in late 2027 with further expansion in 2028.
