According to Reuters, Chinese AI startup Moonshot AI has temporarily paused new consumer subscriptions for its Kimi K3 model on July 20 due to demand pushing computing capacity near its limit. The company is simultaneously seeking up to $2 billion in fresh funding and preparing for a potential Hong Kong initial public offering, with advisers including Goldman Sachs and China International Capital Corp involved in discussions. Moonshot raised over $2 billion in May from investors including Meituan and China Mobile, reaching a $30 billion valuation by June.
