According to KCNA, North Korea's Defense Ministry issued a statement on July 18 criticizing the military cooperation among the United States, Japan, and South Korea. The statement condemned a U.S.-Japan-South Korea Joint Chiefs of Staff meeting held on July 15 in the United States, claiming it aims to establish military dominance in the region and pursue geopolitical interests. The Defense Ministry said the trilateral military coordination threatens regional peace and stability, adding that North Korea's armed forces will not tolerate military imbalance and remain committed to safeguarding national security.
