Nvidia shares rose about 3% in premarket trading Monday (June 15) as U.S. President Donald Trump announced a peace agreement with Iran expected to end months of conflict and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The gain would mark NVDA's best session in two weeks, though it remains a laggard versus semiconductor peers, having gained just 10% year to date compared to 97% for the iShares Semiconductor ETF.
In a separate catalyst, Kazakhstan signed accords to build a large-scale computing cluster using 100,000 advanced Nvidia GPUs, including the GB300 and Vera Rubin models, with as much as $10 billion in investment potential, according to Bloomberg.
