According to Business Insider, on July 9, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated that software engineers at the company increasingly prefer building intelligent agents to writing traditional code. "Every software engineer of mine would rather build an agent than write Python code," Huang said in an interview. He noted that AI has shifted engineers' focus from routine coding toward designing intelligent agents, creating benchmarks, and implementing safety guardrails. Huang framed this transition as moving from "just typing" toward more creative and technical work requiring "imagination and innovation."
