Putin Says Russia Ready to Negotiate With Ukraine in Anchorage on June 4

According to Xinhua, on June 4, Russian President Putin said Russia is fully prepared and willing to conduct peace negotiations with Ukraine at a U.S. military base in Anchorage, Alaska. Putin stated that Russia is ready to accept compromise proposals agreed upon during a Russia-U.S. leaders meeting in Anchorage last August, contingent on Ukraine's acceptance. He added that if Ukraine agrees to the terms of the Anchorage agreement, the Russia-Ukraine conflict could end quickly.
