Russia Successfully Fixes Long-Term ISS Cracks Ten Days After Emergency Shelter Incident

According to Ars Technica, citing sources close to the situation, Russia has successfully repaired persistent cracks in the International Space Station's Zvezda service module following an emergency incident ten days ago. The leaks, which had plagued the station's PrK section since 2019, intensified in May and early June, prompting NASA to direct astronauts to seek emergency refuge in a Crew Dragon spacecraft on June 5. Russia initially proposed an extensive inspection and repair effort that day, but later adjusted its approach to conduct additional measurements. The structural repair effort ultimately resolved the issue.
