Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix Fall 26% and 37% in Recent Weeks; Mirae Asset Maintains Target Prices

According to Mirae Asset Securities analyst Kim Young-gun on July 26, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix have declined 26% and 37% respectively over the past month from their highs, reaching attractive entry levels. The sell-off was driven by expectations of NAND flash memory price declines starting in the third quarter of 2026, according to market research firm TrendForce. Despite the weakness, Mirae Asset maintained its 12-month price targets at 550,000 Korean won for Samsung and 4.2 million won for SK Hynix, citing that downside risks have been adequately priced in. The firm recommended increasing positions at current levels.
