According to Bitcoin.com News, the Senate returned this week with an Aug. 7 deadline to pass the Clarity Act, with 60 votes still unsecured. Eleanor Terrett, Fox Business digital asset policy correspondent, flagged June CPI data released Tuesday and Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's remarks as key markers for the week. A new draft of the bill could be released within days as negotiators seek to unlock Democratic support.

Democrats, including Senators Ruben Gallego and Cory Booker, have demanded enforceable conflict-of-interest standards covering President Trump and his family as the price of floor support, citing Trump's 2025 financial disclosure revealing at least $1.4 billion in crypto income. Passage odds have declined from roughly 60% in June to 50-50 in July.
