Gate News message, April 21 — Shanghai’s municipal government has released the Implementation Plan for the National Digital Economy Innovation Development Pilot Zone (Shanghai), which includes initiatives to advance Web3.0 technology applications.

The plan outlines research into establishing an innovation pilot mechanism for third-generation internet (Web3.0) and explores building a trustworthy technical foundation based on smart contracts. The city will conduct systematic technology validation to support the development and commercialization of Web3.0 applications.
