SpaceX Aborts Starship V3 Test Flight as Engines Fail to Ignite; Stock Falls 3% Below IPO Price

According to Elon Musk on X, SpaceategX aborted the Starship V3 rocket test launch on Thursday evening (July 16) at 6:45 p.m. ET after engines failed to start, triggering an automatic launch abort. Musk pledged to make another attempt "hopefully in a few days."

SpaceX shares fell more than 3% in extended trading to $131.11, sinking further below its $135 IPO price set last month. The stock is on a five-day losing streak.
