According to TD Cowen analyst reported by TheFly, following SpaceX's June 15 IPO, T-Mobile emerges as the clear choice for SpaceX to acquire to establish terrestrial wireless infrastructure for its Starlink Mobile satellite service. The analyst noted that major U.S. wireless carriers—Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile—have collectively rejected MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) partnership agreements with SpaceX, leaving outright acquisition as a potential strategic option. T-Mobile's existing Starlink partnership, growth momentum, and pure-play wireless positioning make it an attractive target.
T-Mobile led the U.S. broadband market in the first quarter of 2026, posting year-over-year revenue growth of 10.6% to $23.11 billion and adding over 500,000 new broadband customers. Meanwhile, SPCX stock has declined 2.2% from its IPO price of $135, though it briefly peaked at $225 following the listing on June 15.
